This event happened around the first Moon Walk. I would of been around 14 then. We lived in Oak Cliff Texas, which is a suburb of Dallas. I was being punished and sent to my room. I was just listening to the TV and looking out the window.
I saw a white light, moving almost like a streak across the sky. It then immediately slowed, which I thought was unusual. It then moved very slow and had 1 orbiting light which revolved around the larger center light.
At first I thought it could be a helicopter, but that orbiting light wasnt what helicopters do. I hallored for my dad to come see.
We than ran to the car and begin to follow the lights. As well as alot of other people as. It moved slowly, we kept up with it and we were doing not more then 70 during the entire event. The light would continue to circle. It moved to the west out towards what was called LTV. A airworks place in Grand Prairie I believe. It stopped what seemed like of the air field. Hovered for not much more than a minute. Then angled off to the east and quickly disappeared.
My reactions was of "I really wanna see this what ever it is" I was scared because I believed it was a UFO. After the event, I begun to notice all the other cars and people. There were at least 10 cars stopped.
I remember how the excitement was. There was lots there at the ending of the event with the other people. My father went on and on about it for a few days.
As I stated before, the craft hovered over the air field and went up and eastward very fast. It was gone in a couple of seconds.
