UFO Sighting in Chester, Texas on September 30th 1946 – A metallic flying object making a buzzing sound flew over at a height of about 40 feet.

I was taking a walk about 75 yards from my house. I heard an unusual buzzing sound and turned and looked back over my left shoulder and saw what appeared to be a small metallic delta wing airplane flying at probably 30 mph. Its speed and direction didn't change and it passed over nearby trees and out of sight. It seemed to me that it stopped making a sound and that it had landed. I went in the direction it was headed and searched for it but never found anything. My thoughts and feelings at the time was wondering where it came from and disappointment that I couldn't find it. At the time, being about 10 years old, simply was not impressed just disappointed. Later with maturity and curiosity I cannot explain how a small plane like that could be flying in a small town in east Texas where I knew everyone and it was before radio controlled planes were made. The sound it made was not at all like a radio controlled plane. It had no propeller. Flew slowly. What powered it? It must have been nuclear powered since it couldn't have carried enough gasoline to be flying in Chester, Texas probably hundreds of miles or from who knows where.
