UFO Sighting in Murphysboro, Illinois on October 1st 2002 – I saw a large lighted object from my driveway way.

I live in the countryside outside a small town. Because my car was being repaired, a student was driving me home from a karate class that I had just taught. Halfway up my driveway we saw a large object about fifty feet away and about thirty feet off the ground. It was moving about five miles an hour traveling south. The object appeared to be made of brilliant white light. It seemed to have a solid core but was covered by long tendrils hanging down that seemed to be comprised of large beads of bright white light. The tendrils hung much lower on the left side of the object. My student and I got out of his car and watched the object for 15-20 minutes as it slowly moved away. We could have easily driven back to the highway and kept pace with it as it was moving very slowly. Instead,even though it made no noise and looked nothing like a helicopter, I decided that it must be a helicopter and my student agreed. He drove me to my house, I went inside,forgot about the object and went to sleep. The next morning I recalled the strange experience and realized that the object had effected our minds.
