UFO Sighting in Wayzata, Minnesota on June 22nd 2015 – White orb like a star or satellite with a cone of white light projecting forward. The cone then shrouded the white light as it moved in a straight line.

I was outside with my telescope looking at Venus, Jupiter and Saturn on 6/22/2015 around 10:30 at night. I was trying to find Sagittarius when I noticed a small round light moving directly above me. It had a cone or triangle of light projecting forward as it moved. At first I thought it might be an airplane traveling through some high clouds, but there were no clouds that night. There were no other navigation lights or any sound. It seemed much too low to be a satellite (I have seen many of those in the sky). I would estimate it at 3000-5000ft altitude but it could be much higher. I quickly called out my 23 year old son to look at it. He followed it with binoculars while I turned my 80mm refractor on it. I followed it across the sky directly north. In the telescope I could see it was just a round disc of light with no other colors. The cone of white light was probably 10 times the diameter of the disc. It moved about the speed of a small fast propeller plane but with no sound or lights. As it moved further away, the cone of light seemed to shroud the disc. It then disappeared to the north. My son could not figure out what it was either. Minutes later I heard a helicopter to the north but could not see it. There was no trail in the sky at all. I saw many small meteors that night but this was not a meteor. I have no idea what this was.
