UFO Sighting in Waves, North Carolina on May 31st 2001 – Saw hovering craft slowly flashing separate colored round green, yellow, (other colors)lights

Outside in North Carolina In a hot tub with 5 relatives. The lights attracted me to it. Directly above us I saw the lights slowly changing from green to yellow (I forget what other colors) coming from the bottom of the craft. I don't remember the pattern, but it seemed to be in a certain order of slowly flashed colors. They were round like spotlights, but not that bright. I also can't remember if there were 4 or 3 lights changing. If I could remember the number of lights then I could remember the shape of the craft. It was difficult to see the shape in the dark. I thought it was cool & interesting & wondered what it was doing up there. I know 2 or 3 others saw it because we were all quiet-looking at it for about a minute. Then there was nothing but darkness & everyone went back to partying. It was weird that no one spoke about it, so I didn't bring it up until years later. Two people remember it, but didn't say anything more. I'm guessing they think it was something from the air base near the Outer Banks where we were.
