UFO Sighting in Columbia City, Indiana on May 10th 1998 – small star like light travelling at an extreme rate of speed/change of direction

I was in the bunk of the truck I was driving. I was in a truck stop on hwy 33? in Columbia City Indiana. Just after 5am est.It was a very clear morning and I was watching all the aircraft coming and going from the Chicago area.There were a couple of local aircraft in the Columbia City area. I also saw one or two satellites on their paths. Yes.. the sky was that clear that morning. Not a cloud to be seen. Suddenly I saw a dot of light traveling in a west to east direction. I was about two hours outside of Chicago and by my reckoning when the dot of light was over the city of Chicago it took a 90 degree turn to the north without slowing down. In the blink of an eye it was out of sight going north. This dot of light appeared to be at a much higher altitude than any commercial aircraft. An airplane at cruising altitude will be about 30 to 35 thousand feet. This light appeared to be much higher than that...so what...80 or maybe 100,000 feet. It's speed appeared to be roughly twice the speed of the commercial aircraft in the area. At cruising speed an airliner will be flying at about 600 miles an hour give or take. Double that to 1200 mph...wow that's quick. I remember thinking to myself that there is nothing man made that can travel that high and that fast. With the exception of spacecraft. And yet here it was making a 90 degree turn at what appeared to be full speed. My last thought as I got ready to go back to work was what the heck was that?
