UFO Sighting in Stockton, California on October 26th 2014 – walking outside. saw orb like object headed east. no sound. orb stopped and darted straight up until out of sight

I was working swing shift. It was approximately 8:15 pm. I frequently observe the sky at night in awe of the stars, planets and moon. I noticed the orb-like light traveling east bound smoothly through the sky absent of any sound. It seemed to be very close. I watched it for about 30 seconds when it stopped it's east-bound path and darted straight up, still absent of sound, until it was no longer visible. The incident gave me goosebumps. Moments later my brother in law came out of the store with his family and I eager asked him "where the Hell were you two minutes ago man? I just saw a ufo!" I do believe there are visitors from other planets realms galaxies etc.. Once my mother and I seen something similar around 20 years ago. Never reported it though. Thank you!
