On October 10 1981 1:00am eastern time my brother started screaming dad hurry up come in my room when my dad did my brother had is curtains opened and his room was glowing red we all came in there to see a large red fire ball coming from the south east headed for the house and then it change direction south and hovered over between our house and our neighbors home about 30 to 40 ft from both roof tops it emitted a green light that bent the trees apart with no sound and no cracking of the tree limbs or branches ,just north of the trees about 12ft was our above ground pool that was covered for the season with a black cover the ball hovered for about 10 to 15 minutes with the green light moving the trees back and forth we were just in shock of what we were seeing my father at this time ran to his room and grabbed his riffle and headed down the stairs to the back door and opened it when he stepped out on to the patio the ball shot up and just vanished .the next morning we contacted the Medford police department and told them that we know your going think this sounds crazy and before we could say anymore the officer said are you reporting a UFO because if so we have had over 1000 calls so my father gave his name and address , about an hour later the walbornes our next door neighbors called and said that they could not open any of their doors to get out of their house even the windows were jammed my dad went over there and had remove. Their doors which had to plained we think the ball caused this it settled their home some how very strange, that year there was a rash of UFO sightings in nj .
