UFO Sighting in Astoria, Oregon on June 30th 1997 – Climbing up the hill (in a car) to the Astoria Column while my wife was driving and witness this flying saucer

We are Climbing up the hill (in a car) to the Astoria Column, while my wife was driving, I witness this flying saucer. It hovered for a while (it is out away from me probably 700 ft or so??? then took off towards the East horizontally in a quick move for about a 1/4 mile or so (I am up a hill out looking over the "Youngs River Bay" just off the Columbia river)it stopped again for a couple seconds ( I am now looking out at Saddle Mountain) or so and then it shot up in about a 80 degree pitch at super hyper speed. My wife still remembers today me telling her what I witnessed that day. I am just wondering if anyone else reported the event. I don't know exactly the date, but remember the sun shinning down on this thing which doesn't happen that many days of the year on the Oregon coast. I guess I was excited, ....... it kind of left myself feeling amazed of what I witness knowing this was really happening to me. I was puzzle that wife didn't say much when I told her; I was expecting her to ask me a 100 questions. She just said, OK. She didn't say I was seeing things and she didn't take much interest.
