UFO Sighting in Riverside, California on August 1st 1955 – Object passed overhead and blacked out the whole sky. Several observed event.

Lots of the neighborhood residents were outside just after dark. I suddenly felt like I was near a power/transformer station. My hair lifted and I felt a magnetic type presents. Someone said look up and we could see the outline of an object that was slowly passing directly overhead. As it slowly passed overhead it blacked out all the stars. At one point the entire sky was blacked out for some time. Eventually it passed far enough that stars started appearing in the sky behind it. It never accelerated and slowly passed out of sight. I asked my father (an Air Force Pilot) if it was a flying saucer. He said they don't exist and he went into the house. He later told me to never mention it again. I observed this event standing in my front yard. I could feel it's presence like a magnet was pulling on me.
