I was fourteen years old and fishing at a secluded lake in the woods with my father and a family friend. The friend said, "look a shooting star" and then walked away. I stood there and witnessed what appeared to be a shooting star, a white burning streak shooting across the sky. Then it descended toward me and started to slow down. It now had a glowing orange look and totally silent. It stopped just over the tree line surrounding the lake and hovered for a couple of seconds then slowly moved in a straight line to my left and vanished over the trees....did not vanish in thin air, but as it proceeded to move to my left I could not see it any more because of the trees. I loved fishing at the time but just saw something I could not explain so I went back to our car and told my father I wanted to leave the area. I am and ex airline pilot and not 75 years old but that is something I will never forget.
