UFO Sighting in Branford, Connecticut on August 1st 1975 – A ball of light moving across the sky much faster than any jet and without a sound

I was only about 10 yrs. old and it was about 40 yrs. ago, but I remember it vividly. I was sitting on a hill, in the back lot of my friends yard in the middle of the afternoon. When I saw a bright ball of light coming out of what I think was the south. I thought it was a reflection off of a jet, but, it moved to the north across the sky in a straight line way too quickly to be a jet and it didn't make a sound. It also changed shape. Sort of pulsating. I don't know if it was the reflection of the sun or if it was actually pulsating. I lost sight of the object over the horizon. I don't think I told anybody. I don't know how I felt except amazed.
