UFO Landing in Springhill, Louisiana on September 15th 1983 – Observed oval light in sky that stopped then descended on a road nearby.
A friend and I were outside playing when we saw what we thought was an airplane until it stopped midair and came down. It landed on a road that led to a landfill we used to take trash. We stood and watched it change color for 30 minutes or more. We decided to ride our bikes to check out what it was but about the time we got close I looked back and my friend had turned back so I did also. We didn't see it leave it just stopped glowing. I regret not going to see what it was. That night started my fascination with UFO's. I haven't spoken to my friend at the time about it since.
