UFO Sighting in Eugene, Oregon on August 15th 1962 – ECHO 1 satellitte accompanied by two bright objects — one each side

As a kid my cousins and I were "camping" in the backyard on a summer evening and were watching the stars waiting for another glimpse of ECHO I passing overhead -- we had been watching it over several previous nights. When the satellite came into view, we saw one object of equal brightness and apparent size on either side of it. All three objects travelled above us in a consistent path, until disappearing from view as ECHO's orbit took it beyond the horizon. This did not occur on any successive night we watched for ECHO 1. I checked the local paper, the Eugene Register Guard, the next day, and noticed a small article mentioning this occurrence. I cut out the little article and carried it for years, but eventually after many moves, it was lost. I am sorry that the dates, times, etc., are only approximate; I have wondered about this all my adult life and was curious if anyone else had seen anything like this before.
