UFO Sighting in Hamilton, Ontario on June 8th 2015 – Glowing white orb over lake Ontario, Hamilton side

Saw an unidentifiable object on Monday night, June 8. I am still processing what I saw, but then read entry from Hamilton on June 10, describing the same object. My son and I were out in daylight (but soon after sun set) and I pointed out an object hovering over lake Ontario, close to the beach line in Hamilton. It would have been about a mile out, hovering about 500 metres over the lake. Had I not known the area very well, I would have thought it a star and my depth-perception off. We watched it for about 10 minutes, thinking it was a plane reflecting the sun, but it never moved, only hovered. It was close enough to know it was not a helicopter, and there was no sun remaining to reflect off the object. Thinking it was nothing, we continued on. At 11pm my children and I were dropping one of their friends off closer to the lake, but more east on the lower Stoney Creek side. Again, we see the same bright orb over the lake, in close proximity to where we saw the object approximately 2 hours before, but it appeared to be hovering a little higher, but closer to the city. We waited for it to move for about 15 minutes, thinking it was an object moving towards us, only to realise it was hovering and not making a sound. Watching it was mesmerizing and it was very hard to look away.
