UFO Sighting in Chesapeake, Virginia on July 15th 1969 – I stood under a large orange orb that had a mistyfog like exterior for about 20 minutes in a field near my home.

I was in middle school at the time camping out with a friend in my parent's back yard. We saw the large glowing orange ball stop and hover over the field that was about 3 houses down from us. We went to get a closer look. I stood under a large glowing orange orb that had a mistyfog like exterior for about 20 minutes in a field near my house at about 0200 in the morning. It was about 5 telephone poles high directly above me. The night sky was clear warm and calm. There were no temperature changes, wind, or noted sounds under the orb. It slightly and slowly dimmed to pinkish orange and then back to brighter orange again several times. Looking directly at it was like looking into a gas, no definite solid surface could be seen. When the orb prepared to leave it created white clouds around it, slowly started to lift up and to the north east and then went out of sight at tremendous speed.
